Theme: Fuel, Fire & Flexibility
This week tested everything: my legs, my lungs, my fueling plan—and most of all, my mindset. Coming off the heels of a breakthrough 3K Time Trial, I knew the paces would heat up. And they did. But what I didn’t expect was how much I’d learn from both the wins and the stumbles.
⭐️ Weekly Highlights
04/09/2025 Training Log – Sizzling Success: 2-Minute Repeat Redemption
I pushed through 12 x 2-minute reps at a sharper 10K pace. Fueling? Dialed. I used a Drink Mix 160 and a Gel 100 before my strides. Drum Buddy helped me lock into rhythm. Execution was on point—and that grin in rep #11? I earned it.
04/11/2025 Training Log – Spice Meter Maxed: When to Push, When to Pivot
This one? Spicy in the wrong way. Mile repeats at fast tempo pace became a humbling reminder that even pushing has its limits. I bailed after four reps and jogged it in. Proud of that decision. Grace over grind.
04/12/2025 Training Log – Rest Is Training Too
I woke up sore and tight. Mental ping pong ensued. In the end, I chose rest—and it paid off in a big way the next day.
04/13/2025 Training Log – Sweet Miles & Steady Smiles
110 minutes of Zone 2 smoothness. Brekkie – a marmalade + honey sandwich and dates during the run. No Drum Buddy today, just tunes and flow. Locked into the rhythm on my own, with walk breaks as needed. This run was the reward for the week’s patience and wisdom.
