02/22/2025 Training Log: Who Needs a Treadmill When Mother Nature Delivers?

Whoot, Whoot!! What a glorious day for an OUTDOOR run!! Did I just use my outdoor voice?

Today’s Plan:
Easy Run. 45-60 Minutes: Easy run in Zone 2 heart rate (under 136 bpm)

How It Went: My average heart rate clocked in at 133 bpm with a max of 142. I’m happy with that! I found myself salivating at the thought of running once again outside—it seemed oh so long ago since my last outdoor run. I was giddy with excitement, and Mother Nature didn’t disappoint. It was a glorious, glorious day for a run. Yes, there were still mounds of snow, but my favoured routes were clear enough to run comfortably.

Some days, you need a reminder of why you lace up those shoes. Today was that day. The treadmill served its purpose, but nothing beats the feeling of fresh air and the open road underfoot.
