Welcome to Plus50Fit—where age is just a number, and fitness is a lifelong adventure!
I’m Magnus, a 66-year-old runner who didn’t always love running. In fact, before 2018, I was a self-proclaimed couch potato—gaining extra pounds every winter, hibernating indoors, and dreading the thought of long-distance running. But one winter, I challenged myself to break that cycle. I joined a ‘Learn to Run’ program, laced up my shoes, and hit the pavement.
That first winter taught me two things: I wouldn’t freeze to death, and I was capable of more than I thought. What started as a simple challenge quickly turned into a passion. First, I ran 5K. Then 10K. Then a Half Marathon. Now, I’m training for my first Marathon, proving that it’s never too late to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible.
What You’ll Find Here
Plus50Fit is about more than just running—it’s about embracing fitness at any age, challenging limits, and inspiring others to stay active. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your journey, I share:
✔️ Training insights – from interval workouts to marathon prep
✔️ Nutrition tips – fueling for performance and recovery
✔️ Gear & tech reviews – finding the best tools for the run
✔️ Personal experiences – the highs, the lows, and everything in between
✔️ Motivation & mindset – because fitness is as much mental as it is physical
I also believe in keeping things real—no sugarcoating, no fluff. Just honest reflections, a bit of humor, and the occasional “quick thought” to keep things fresh.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’m too old for this” or “I could never run a marathon,” I’m here to tell you—you absolutely can. Because I get to do this, I can do this. And because I can do this, so can you.
